Welcome to Period Calculator ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to periodcalculator.wiki and explains what information may be processed when you estimate a next period, review cycle guidance, read the FAQ, or contact [email protected].
1. Browser-based period calculations
The basic period calculator is designed to calculate dates locally in your browser. The last-period date, cycle length, period length, and optional irregular-cycle values are used by the page to produce the displayed estimate. The ordinary calculation does not require an account, a name, an email address, or a health profile, and the selected date values do not need to be uploaded to our server for the calculation itself.
Your browser may still retain temporary form values according to its own settings. If you use a shared device, close the page or clear local browser data after use. Local calculation is a privacy-minded design choice, not a promise that every browser, network, or third-party service is completely private.
2. Information we may process
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device category, operating system, approximate region, timestamps, referral URL, and error details.
- Usage information such as pages viewed, navigation events, button interactions, performance signals, and whether a page or feature appears to work correctly.
- Support information that you choose to include in an email, such as your contact details, browser, accessibility feedback, or a description of a calculation issue.
- Cookie, web beacon, pixel, local-storage, and similar identifier information used by the site, analytics providers, security systems, or advertising partners where enabled.
Please do not email sensitive medical records or information that is not needed to explain a website issue. The calculator is not intended to collect a medical history.
3. How we use information
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve periodcalculator.wiki.
- Understand page performance, accessibility, mobile behavior, and errors.
- Respond to support requests, corrections, privacy questions, and feedback.
- Prevent abuse, investigate security events, and comply with legal obligations.
- Measure and deliver advertising when advertising products are enabled and permitted.
We do not use the basic browser calculation as a reason to build a personal menstrual-health profile. If a future feature stores history, sends reminders, or adds an account, this policy will be updated before that feature is used for personal data.
4. Cookies, analytics, and web beacons
The site may use necessary cookies, browser storage, analytics, and security technologies. These technologies can help us understand page views, device categories, approximate location, referral sources, session timing, performance, and interactions. We may use Microsoft Clarity or comparable analytics technology to review aggregate usability signals and identify confusing layouts or technical problems.
Cookies and similar technologies may be placed or read by service providers that help host, secure, analyze, or measure the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking optional analytics may not prevent the period calculator from working, although it may reduce the accuracy of site measurement.
5. Google advertising and partner data use
If Google advertising products are served on this site, Google and its advertising partners may collect, share, and use information associated with advertising delivery and measurement. This may include cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, browser information, approximate location, and other identifiers or signals. Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and similar technologies because ads are served.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps, read Google’s partner-sites data-use information. Advertising availability, personalization, consent requirements, and controls may depend on your location, browser settings, and the products enabled on the site.
6. Sharing and service providers
We may share limited information with hosting, security, analytics, email, advertising, legal, or infrastructure providers when needed to operate the website, measure performance, serve permitted advertising, respond to requests, prevent abuse, or comply with law. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
We do not sell the date values entered into the ordinary calculator as a standalone product. We may disclose information when required by legal process, to protect the site and users, or as part of a business transfer, while seeking to limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary.
7. Retention and security
We retain technical logs, analytics information, and support messages only for as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, measurement, support, and legal compliance. Retention periods can vary by provider and the type of record. The ordinary client-side date calculation is not intended to create a server-side history of your cycle dates.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to operate the site and reduce common security risks. No website, browser, network, or email channel can guarantee perfect security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain personal information, or to withdraw consent when processing depends on consent. You can also control cookies through browser settings and contact us about a privacy request at [email protected]. We may request enough information to verify and locate the relevant record.
If you only used the calculator without contacting us, there may be little or no personal content for us to identify beyond ordinary technical, analytics, cookie, or advertising records.
9. Children’s privacy
Period Calculator is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact support so we can review the situation and delete information where appropriate.
10. External links and health information
The site may link to external health, policy, documentation, or reference pages. External websites have their own privacy practices and terms. Review those policies before submitting information to another service. Links to health information do not turn Period Calculator into a medical provider or diagnosis service.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the site changes its calculator behavior, analytics, advertising, support process, hosting, or legal requirements. We will update the effective date when material changes are published.
